Ctrip.com, a Chinese online travel site said that Chinese airports has a bad on-time records, last year they have 1,500 flights delayed for more than three hours when flying from Shenzhen to Shanghai alone. They said that the delays were because of a poor air traffic control. In the same period flights from Xiamen to Shangha had 1,000 flight delays of more than three hours.
